Biscolota Mood Cookies

One day, I received a package and inside was a package of 6 on-the-go cups of Biscolota cookies. I was not familiar with the Biscolota brand so I really didn't know what to expect from them. The cookies come in a plastic cup with a clear re-sealable lid which is useful for keeping the leftover cookies fresh until your next snack time. These cookies are the perfect traveling snack or munch on them during a binge-a-thon of your favorite show. The back of the container has a chart with the different symbols that can be found printed on the cookies. You match the symbols up to the chart to find out your "mood" for the day. It's like a scavenger hunt to find your perfect match. with these cookies, you get a game and a snack all-in-one. 

Each cup is 2 ounces and has 2 servings of cookies per cup. A serving size is 11 pieces and only 160 calories, 9 grams of fat, 18 grams of total carbohydrates, 11 grams of sugar and 2 grams of protein. For those with allergies or sensitivities to certain foods, be aware that these cookies contain wheat, hazelnuts, eggs, and milk. They may also contain traces of peanuts, tree nuts and soy. 

The cookie is about the size of a quarter and have a decorative edge. My 6-year-old daughter says that they look like little bite-sized pillows. Each cookie has a design printed on it in edible ink. My favorite design is the heart with the muscle arms and my daughter loves the smiley face design.  These cookies make me happy just looking at them. 

These Biscolota cookies have a crispy wafer cookie shell on the outside with sweet, creamy chocolate on the inside. The cookie shell is actually not as sweet as I would have expected but when you bite into it, the chocolatey center mixes with the cookie to create magic. I adore hazelnut spread and the chocolate in this cookie tastes very similar to my favorite brand of spreads. My daughter and husband both agreed that these cookies are scrumptious!

These cookies would be a great anytime snack or serve them at your next party. The on-the-go cup is perfect to pack in a lunchbox, backpack or tuck a cup in your purse. Since these cookies do contain chocolate, it is not advisable to keep these in very warm environments and keep the out of direct sunlight to avoid a melty mess.
I think we have found our new favorite cookie! It's a good thing that this cup is resealable so I can eat some now and save some for later (although it is very hard to stop eating them because they are so delicious!).
