I simply adore these beautiful foam floating flowers from Simply Essentials. Each set comes with 4 very large flowers made of a lightweight foam so they will float on top of the water. These flowers would look amazing floating in a pond, pool or other water feature at a wedding. They are also great to use at parties or formal events. They are pretty even just using them as a part of a themed table scape. They can also be used to create an environment that is attractive to fish and small frogs in a man made landscaping pond. These flowers add an element of class to any water feature.
Each flower measures about 11 inches in diameter and almost 3 inches tall. These flowers are huge so they definitely make a statement. The petals inside of the middle can be spread apart to hold a small tea light candle (not included) to add the element of light to these flowers as they are floating. I would suggest using small battery powered tea light candles from the dollar store to avoid damaging the flowers. I would be concerned that the foam would melt or possibly catch on fire with an open flame.
There is a ring on the underside of the flower to allow a weight to be put on the flower to keep it floating in place. We used fishing line and anchor weights to tie onto ours to keep them from drifting further out than we wanted.
The manufacturer put a lot of detail into these flowers. The veins on the leaves look extremely real and they are raised so it even feels like a real lily pad. The coloring on the petals is simply gorgeous.
After Hurricane Irma had safely passed through our area, we floated our flowers in the pond and the frogs just loved them.
