We are a homeschooling family so we are always on the lookout for enjoyable and engaging games our daughter can play to help her learn while she is having fun. Fortunately, I was given the opportunity to try a premium, all-access mobile app called ZapZapMath. ZapZapMath is an app that helps children learn math more effectively by letting them play fun games and watch entertaining animated videos about various math topics. ZapZapMath has seven individual apps for Grades K through Sixth Grade. Each grade level has its very own app and teaches kids the math suitable for that learning level. It is highly adaptive so it will progress as the child gets better at that particular skill. The problems will get slightly more advanced as the child masters that particular math skill. There are also four additional apps for extra learning which include the Fraction Basics app, the Fraction Calculator + Decimals app, the Multiplication Flashcards app and the Treasure Adventure Numeracy app. 

ZapZapMath was developed and designed by experienced teachers, parents and gamers. ZapZapMath is used in over 120 schools and has won numerous awards including the Tutora Best Education App 2017 and was Number One in the Education category of the US App Store. It has rave reviews from teachers and parents alike on the effectiveness that this app has had on their children’s ability to learn and retain the math facts taught through ZapZapMath. One premium account allows the parent to create profiles for up to three children. After the parent has set up the account, the child can pick their own avatar to play with. The ZapZapMath Home Hub lets children buy clothing and accessories to customize their characters with coins that they earn while playing the games. Unlike other apps, the kids earn the coins for extra add-ons so there are no extra costly in-app purchases that need to be bought for the kids to be able to enjoy the apps. 

If you have a child that really struggles with math, either because it is confusing to them or they find it boring, then ZapZapMath is the app for you. We have been using it for the last two weeks and my daughter is already showing positive signs of improvement in her math skills. She likes it so much that she chooses to use her allowed screen time to play ZapZapMath.
