I received an 16 ounce bottle of Jadience Slimming Soak to review and provide my honest opinion on how it performed for me. The company states that when this product is combined with proper exercise and diet, soaking in the Jadience Slimming Soak will aid the body in many ways such as detoxification, toning the skin, and reducing the appearance of cellulite. They also say that this soak will reduce the cravings for sweets. They also say that it will aid in stimulating metabolism, encouraging fat loss while firming and tightening the skin.
Here's some information from the bottle:
Ingredients: Herbal Extract: [Ginseng, Radix Polygoni Multiflori, Mulberry Bark, Fennel, Goji Berry, Asparagus Tuber, Angelica, Poria Cocos, Astragulus Root, Chinese Foxglove Root, Cornus, Sophora, Clematidis, Longan, Inula, Licorice Root] Green Tea Extract (Camellia Sinensis), Caprylyl Glycol, Natural Lavender Fragrance, Potassium Sorbate, Bergamot, Jade Powder
Ginseng, Licorice Root and Astragulus have adaptogenic properties that combat stress, mental and physical fatigue. These ingredients also increase endurance and availability of energy throughout the day. Stephaniae relieves soreness and pain in muscles and joints. Angelica Root detoxifies and improves circulation enabling the body to quickly transport vitamins and minerals
Directions: For an unforgettable experience shake well and pour desired amount of contents into a very warm bath (at least 1/4 of bottle). Fill bath so that the water level falls just below your chest. Immerse yourself in the herb infused water to remove toxins and to calm your mind and body. Relax, breathe deeply and rejuvenate your senses. For best results, remain in bath for at least 20 to 30 minutes, as long as you are comfortable. After bathing, allow the herbal water to remain on your skin and simply pat dry with a towel. Discover the difference for yourself. Use 2-4 times a week for immediate relief and 2-4 times a month for maintenance.
I was a bit confused as to how much I should actually use so I took to the internet and did some research on this product. The directions on the back of the bottle say to use at least 1/4 of the bottle per soak but the product description at the ordering link I received said that 1/4 of the bottle is the minimum that should be used. It also says that one bottle provides 1 to 2 full body treatments. If it is used as a foot soak, it will make 4 to 8 treatments. (for a Foot Soak: add 1 to 2 ounces of Soak to a small tub of warm water and soak feet for 15 to 20 minutes. For a deeper benefit, you should use a tub that you can soak your legs in with the water level up to your knees).
The math just didn't add up for me. If I am to use 1/3 or 1/4 of the bottle, I should be getting 3 or 4 full body treatments not 1 or 2 from an 8 Ounce bottle. The 8 ounce bottle is priced at $8.95 or $1.12 an ounce. If I need to use this product 2 to 4 times a week and only getting 1 or 2 treatments a bottle, then the cost could be as high as $35.80 a week. That would amount to around $1,816.60 per year. They do offer some additional choices in sizes so the more you buy the less per ounce you will have to pay and the price drops down to about $0.55 per ounce.
I couldn't find any concrete proof that this product does or does not do what it claims and the cost was just to much for me to investigate it any further so I can only state what my initial experience with the product was. I filled up my bath and set up my IPad to watch an episode of my favorite show on Hulu while I soaked in the tub for the recommended 30 minutes. The soak is a brown color inside the bottle but when I poured it in the tub, it turned the water a strange color. I would say that it was almost the same color of a really, really weak cup of brewed green tea.
The soak smelled nice. I could definitely smell a hint of lavender and a slight woodsy undertone. It was pleasing to the senses and did make me feel really relaxed. I came out of the tub feeling clean and rejuvenated. I can't speak to how well this works to make you lose weight, but I did notice that I didn't have a late night snack the two nights that I used this soak so maybe it delivers on it's promises or perhaps it was just a coincidence.
