Glucosamine Gold Gel
from Laurel Healthcare
Today I will be reviewing this Extra Strength Glucosamine Gold Gel. Now what is Glucosamine Gel and what is it used for? Glucosamine Gold Gel is used to help with pain, arthritic issues and help to maintain healthy joints. It contains anti-inflammatory ingredients to help with muscle pains. On the front of the tube, it says it contains Glucosamine, Indian Frankincense and Horse Chestnut. On the back of the tube it has the complete list of ingredients.
Ingredients:
Aqua, 1,3-Butylene Glycol, N-Acetylglucosamine, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Boswellia Serrata Extract (Indian Frankincense), Aesculus Hippocastanum Extract (Horse Chestnut), Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Benzyl Alcohol, Dehydroacetic Acid, Benzoic Acid, Sorbic Acid, Tocopherol, Potassium Hydroxide, CI 19140
This gel doesn't have a strong, harsh scent like is usually associated with pain relief rubs. It is almost a clear gel with somewhat of a golden tint to it. It has a very light texture and goes on really smoothly with no greasy feeling. I also didn't experience a burning sensation like you get with some of those ICY rubs. The tub says if you want a cooling effect, keep the gel in the fridge and apply it after taking a warm bath. They recommend that you apply the gel up to six times a day for best results.
Now with the weather changing, I have been experience a bit more pain in my knee from an old injury and I may also have a bit of arthritis setting in so I was really excited when I got the opportunity to try this cream. Just so you know, you have to use glucosamine for a period of time before you get the full benefits from it, but I have noticed remarkably less pain in my knee since I started using this gel. My husband also uses it on his tennis elbow and I rub it on his lower back to relieve pain. He has also had good results with using it.
This tube is 200 ML and is available for around $20. This is a big tube so it should last you for quite awhile depending on your use.
