I need to take Vitamin D3 because I don't get enough exposure to sunlight because I'm usually stuck indoors during the day sleeping because I have a night -time schedule. I also take it to help with feeling fatiqued and to generally assist with balancing out my body's nutritional needs. The bottle has 240 softgels and the recommended dosage is 1 tablet per day. The bottle cautions you to not exceed the recommended doseage, and that pregnant or nursing mothers, children under the age of 18, and individuals with a known medical condition should consult a health care professional before using this or any dietary supplement. It also has a list of these ingredients.
Ingredients
Vitamin D (as Vitamin D3), organic extra virgin olive oil, softgel (gelatin, glycerin, water)
It doesn't specify when you should take it or any other special instructions such as taking it with or without food, taking it with a full glass of water, etc. so it's really up to the individual to determine what works best for them. I like to take mine in the morning before breakfast along with my daily multivitan tablet. The softgels are tiny so they are very easy to swallow and don't leave an aftertaste. I like the fact that these softgels are made with organic extra virgin olive oil to help the body absorb the vitamin better than when it's taken in a powder tablet. What it doesn't contain is gluten, soy, sugar, salt, starch, yeast, wheat, milk, egg, shellfish, artificial colors or preservatives which is great for me since I am trying to avoid many of these things. They are manufactured in an FDA registered facilityand are also proudly Made In the USA which is always a big plus for me on products such as this. You may also notice that the bottle is not as thick and hard as some other vitamin bottles are but that is because this product is packaged in a recyclable bottle so it use less plastic to make which is great for the enviroment.
I have only recently started taking this brand so I will have to update this review after I have been taking them for an extended period of time.
The product is available for about $27 and it has enough to be about an eight month supply so to me that's a fairly good deal on these softgels.
*I received this product for free for the purpose of providing an honest and unbiased review*
