I've never used a Tens Unit before but I had heard about the benefits of using one. This comes packaged with the unit, four pads, usb cable and charger, a plastic holder for you pads, connector cords and the instruction booklet.  The box it comes in is very sturdy and good for storing your unit and accessories. The display on the unit gives you a visual picture of the type of massage and from there you can set the time and intensity that you would like. I tried this on my lower back because I was having a slight aching pain. I started out at the lowest intensity which felt like a nice back rubbing. I gradually increased the intensity until it started to become a little uncomfortable. 

If you had a major ache, I believe this Ten Units would be very capable of pounding it out. It's small and compact so it is very portable if you need to take it with you while traveling. I didn't see any information on acquiring the replacement pads but they do have some contact information in the instruction booklet so I will check there for information on replacing those. I'm not sure why it only come with one holder for the pads because there are four pads and the holder only has space to store two so it would have been better for Santamedical to have included two of those as well. I like the fact that it has an internal rechargeable battery so I don't have the hassle of dealing with disposable batteries.
