This charger is unique in the way it is made. It has a thinner, flat cable with a larger clear coating. The cable was difficult to straighten out. it seemed to want to bounce back to the circle shape it came packaged in. The lights are a nice feature to have if you want to have visual confirmation that your device is charging or charged. It has a blue light for when your device is charged or nothing is connected and then it has a red light when it's charging. I did notice this charger seemed to get very warm. I don't know if it could be caused by the powering of the light, but for that reason, I decided that this will be a charger that I will keep in my truck for when I need to charge my device away from home and when it's not being used while being charged.
