SantaMedical Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer

SantaMedical Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer

This is a fantastic thermometer. I just wish I had this sooner. Every parent should have one of these thermometers in their first aid kit.I know that I have tried tons of thermometers since my daughter was born. It's always a struggle to take her temperature. It's painful to take the temperature rectally, she doesn't like it under her arm, I can't get her to take it orally and she won't stay still long enough to try it with contact to her forehead.

The nicest feature of this particular thermometer is that you can use it to check the body, room and surface temperatures. I have used it to check the temperature of her bathwater and the room temp so I know if I need to make it warmer or cooler in her room. I also used it to check the temperature of her food before giving it to her to eat. For those that bottle feed, you could use it to check the temperature of the bottle.

It comes with an instruction booklet and a soft storage bag.It has a mode button to switch between body, room or surface temps, a button so you can choose between Celsius or Fahrenheit temps, and a memory button to store the last 35 readings. It also has an auto shut-off feature. I've had many times when I needed to take her temperature only to find the thermometer's battery was dead because I forgot to turn it off.

This thermometer is great because I can check her temperature while she is sleep and never even have to touch her with so it doesn't disturb her. You get the results immediately, so no more struggling to keep the child still for what seems like an eternity while you wait for other thermometers to take the temperature.

There is a small switch on the side so you can turn off the beeping so it's quite.
